Future Directions of the Teaching Program
The expectations for higher education have changed during the past ten years, particularly with regard to teaching, and will continue to change in the future. The recognition and expectation of change raises the obvious question of how well the teaching program is placed for the future. Will we be able to meet the future needs of our students and will we be in a position to provide the kinds of education and training needed? Will our graduates meet the needs and requirements of potential employers? In response to the need for future change in the teaching program we have identified areas that we feel need to be strengthened. These recommendations cover the pedagogical approaches used in our classes, as well as the need for course and curriculum modifications.
